Personnel The Climate Friendly Co. is run by Ben Oubridge with support from a wide range of associates. A marketing and psychology graduate, Ben has worked for 12 years in the sustainable energy industry, in a variety of roles across charity, NGO, private and public sectors. During his career, Ben has successfully obtained project funding from private sources and public sector programmes, developed and managed promotional and practical projects covering renewable energy, energy efficiency and wider sustainability issues. He has considerable experience of advising, presenting, publicising and educating on sustainable energy for homes, businesses, schools, community groups and local government. His most recent work has involved helping local authorities implement climate change policies and conducting feasibility studies for renewable energy projects on a number of different buildings. As well as administering projects, Ben has always relished the opportunity to take on practical tasks. He has built and installed solar water heating systems, installed small solar electricity systems in Nepal, designed and installed school renewable energy demonstrations using solar thermal, wind and PV systems, and set up countless renewable energy exhibits for shows and events. Ben is formally trained in all aspects of sustainable energy technology, including practical courses in wind energy, solar energy, timber frame construction, energy rating and environmental assessment. |
