Why Climate Friendly?

The science of climate change is not covered here as it is well documented elsewhere. Several good sources of information can be found in the links section. We think it is more important to remember the strength of the scientific consensus on climate change. Climate experts from around the world are almost unanimously in agreement that human induced climate change - principally through the exhorbitant use of fossil fuels - is a reality and a major threat. Whilst there is less consensus about the extent of the effects of climate change on our lives and those of future generations, the predictions are for the most part alarming. They warrant concerted action to ensure such effects are minimised.

Climate change aside, it is also important that we reduce consumption of precious, finite fossil fuels and move to a broad mix of renewable energy sources to ensure security of energy supply, globally and locally.

It is up to everyone, from governments to individuals to change their ways and become more climate friendly.
